The Real Housewives of Orange County, Episode 8: "Not So Silent Night'
Viewer's don't seem to care for Tamra Judge. I have been a fan. She definitely stirs the pot and causes drama and is ridiculous, but isn't that what people want in a Housewife? Isn't it boring if you just sit there and do nothing? (Hello, Lizzie! I didn't see you there.) This season though, Tamra is getting on my nerves. You'd think, when a friend does something nice for you, like invite you on the show they are guest hosting to promote your business, wouldn't you be grateful? Not Tamra. When Vicki Gunvalson becomes the voice of reason in a situation, then you know there is a problem. So let's take a look at what all went down at Shannon's not so happy holiday party.
So, first off, let's get some housekeeping things out of the way. Ryan got his blood tests back. As predicted, they are terrible and he could basically have a heart attack at any minute. Will he stop taking back alley HGH? Probably not. Will Tamra do anything to try to get him to stop, like fire him. Absolutely not. If Ryan were to have a heart attack will anyone feel sorry for him? I'll let you guys answer that for yourselves.
Vicki still is controlling her kids. Par for the course.
It's time for the party. Guests gather and it's all very festive. Everyone is in the holiday spirit. Especially Heather. Heather appeared on "Good Day LA" to promote her appearance on "Hawaii 5-0" and while she's there she is offered a guest hosting stint. She decides to be a good friend and invite Tamra and Eddie on the show to promote CUT Fitness. Good news, right? Thanks Heather! Thanks for the chance to promote my business on a morning show that is seen by lots of potential new clients. You would think that is what Tamra said, but you'd be wrong. Instead, we were treated to an episode of "Here's What Happened While Cameras Weren't Rolling."
So, apparently when Heather guest hosted last time, she had a different fitness studio on and Tamra is hurt about it even though Heather called her beforehand and told her it was going on. To make matters worse, Terry texted Tamra and told her that he didn't think that Heather should have done the show. It's all so dumb. They go 'round and 'round about this and it just seems like another time where everyone piles on Heather. Tamra has heard that Heather invited this other fitness center on because she works out there, even though Heather says that "Good Day LA" booked them and Heather wasn't going to not co-host because Tamra might be offended.
Heather did the right thing. She took a job. She let Tamra know. She was up front about it. When she got the opportunity she tried to make it up to Tamra, but Tamra can't be happy about it. I'm flabbergasted and so is Heather. Eddie finally puts a pin in it, but that is not the end of it.
As soon as she leaves the conversation, Tamra heads over to Lizzie, Shannon and Danielle and relays the whole thing to them. She knows she has a sympathetic ear with Shannon, so why not get someone on your side? While Heather tries to console and give Vicki advice about the Brianna situation (which was a waste of breath, since Heather doesn't know what Vicki's going through, sigh) the conversation continues. It stops when Heather enters the room. Lizzie decides to remind people that she's in the intro too and bring up to Heather that they've all been talking about her while she was in the other room.
This ignites the whole thing all over again, except this time, Shannon decides to use this chance to show everyone how horrible and condescending Tamra is. Shannon may not have been yelling at Heather at the restaurant, but she is definitely yelling at her now. I'm not sure how Shannon can accuse Heather of turning something around on Tamra when you have no idea what the situation. The whole situation is such a clusterfuck. Even Vicki knows that Tamra is in the wrong here. When Vicki is the voice of reason, you know there is an issue. After calling Terry into the room to explain his text to Tamra, Heatherfakes gets a phone call from Nicky about a stomach flu and the Dubrows have to leave.
I also thought it was nice how Heather told Tamra they were still friends, even though Heather wasn't pleased with how everything went down. Tamra just continues to look from sympathy wherever she can get it, which is basically only from Shannon at this point.
So, can we all agree that Tamra was completely in the wrong here? Come on, Heather haters. Even you guys have to admit that she did a nice thing and got shit on. Did anyone know that Terry's brother was in Quiet Riot? Let me know in the comments.
