The Real Housewives of New Jersey Recap: It's Time For Another Posche Event...

The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Episode 17: "Hair We Go Again"

When the ladies of the Garden State hear the words "Posche", "fashion show", "party" in any combination, their first instinct should be to run for the hills.  Instead, they do the exact opposite of what good sense says.  They pump their hair, put on their shiniest outfit, raccoon ring their eyes (I'm looking at  you Teresa), and head out to support New Jersey's most inexplicable business owner.  It was more of the same in the season's penultimate issue as Kim D. opened her second store and the women came out to support her and to confront Penny and her husband.  What happened?  Hit the jump for more.

So, listen, I'm the first person to admit when I'm wrong about something.  I was wrong about Melissa.  I thought there was no way that she would go to Orlando, but she did.  It was only for 24 hours, but she got a lot done.  She took vocal lessons, she memorized her own song, she performed live at a famous radio station in front of an audience and sounded ... not terrible?  Apparently that is good enough to tet asked to perform in front of 150,000 people.  Well, it works for Miley Cyrus so why not Melissa Gorga?  The other women's reactions to Melissa's "performance" were priceless.  You could tell that none of them were that impressed, but didn't want to come out and say it.  The closest anyone got was Kathy saying she didn't like the song.  Sure, Kath.  The song.  Wink, wink.

The Manzo Brothers are gearing up for the opening of their restaurant Little Town, NJ.  For all her talk of wanting them to succeed, Caroline is not shy about telling them that the food they are serving sucks. I can understand her wanting to offer constructive criticism, but couldn't you have done it a little more privately.  Al the Dick was back with this episode telling Caroline to stop it with the mothering already.    Seriously, Caroline.  Enough with the being a mother stuff.  Can't you just shut that off.  Also, Lauren, nice jeans.  I'm glad you dressed up.

Teresa is best friends with Victoria Gotti.  They met when they both appeared on Celebrity Apprentice. Teresa continues to campaign for most ridiculous person alive, by wearing a purple pimp suit complete with fur coat to lunch.  She also continues her campaign of silence when it comes to the Giudice legal issues.  The only thing will she talk about is the kids and how she tries to keep them informed and calm.    Gia knows what's up and I'm sure she is Teresa's confidante.  Eye roll.

Everyone is pissed at Penny.  It turns out that her husband, who goes by the Twitter name Johnny the Greek, has been tweeting that Nicholas doesn't really have autism.  She is going to be at the launch party for Posche 2 so all the Housewives are going to give her a piece of their mind.

Jacqueline is up first and Penny is playing dumb claiming that she has no idea what her husband tweets.  Penny loves autistic children, Jacqueline.  You're crazy!  She used to teach autism!  What?!  Doees Penny know what autism is?  What is happening?

Next on the Penny confrontation train is Teresa and Melissa.  It's the same old story.  Penny claims that Teresa put her up to everything and that Teresa knew all about Strippergate from last year.  Teresa gets that look on her face that sort of looks like believable shock, but sort of doesn't.  Nothing gets resolved, because it's to be continued, y'all!

So, what did you guys think?  Are you ready for Penny to go away?  What did you think of Melissa's performance?  Was Caroline a little too judgemental at Little Town?  Your turn.
