Long Live the Queen.

So last night, two teams that no one cared about played some football game.  The big news was that in the middle of said football game, Beyoncé had a concert.  I kid, I kid.  The game was sort of important.

Beyoncé destroyed the halftime show, leaving a lot of viewers saying Madonna Who?  Queen Bey stormed the stage rocking a leather one piece with a skirt that was quickly discarded.  She tore through "Love On Top," "Crazy In Love," "End of Time" and "Baby Boy" before instigating the reunion we all knew was coming, but we were all still giddy about anyway.  I squeed a little when Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams popped out from under the stage and the fiercest girl group of them all ripped into "Bootylicious" and "Independent Women, Part 1."  They then helped their leader out on a raucous version of "Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)."  The Lady Knowles-Carter then completed her set by belting out her magnificent power ballad "Halo."  If you missed the spectacle, you can watch it below and if you've already seen it, well than watch again.

Then, this morning, B announced on her official website that she would be embarking on her first world tour since 2009, "The Mrs. Carter Show."  The tour kicks off April 15th in Europe and then moves Stateside on June 28th.  There have been lots of rumors about when B will officially announce the title and first single off of her eagerly anticipated fifth studio album.  Given the name of her tour, perhaps it will be "Mrs. Carter?"  You should expect an announce date relatively soon I would guess.  Here is a trailer for the tour:

Also, Beyoncé has a documentary, "Life Is But A Dream," that premieres on HBO on February 16th.  2013.  The year of Beyoncé.
