It's official!! How I Met Your Mother has been renewed for a ninth and final season. If you are a fan of HIMYM then you are probably aware of the negotiations that were going on in December and you know that deals were ironed out that would ensure that all the principal cast members would be returning, including Jason Segel, who was rumored to be the one holding out. It seems that there will be no shortened final season. Various media outlets are reporting that it will be a full season of 22-24 episodes.
